Our services

General Practitioners

Our doctors have a broad knowledge and the skills to treat all the health issues you might have through your life. Because our GPs take the time to get to know you, your family and your community, they can provide care best suited to your personal needs. They treat the person, not just the disease.

Integrative Medicine

Integrative medicine combines the best of both conventional and evidence based complementary medicine for a truly holistic approach to your health. Focusing on the causes of illness treatments may include lifestyle recommendations, diet modification, nutrient and herbal supplements.

Lifestyle Medicine

Lifestyle related health problems are preventable and in many cases, reversible, so as the name suggests, Lifestyle Medicine addresses both the cause, and the “cause-of-the-cause” and can often reverse early to medium onset chronic disease by assisting patients through evidence-based lifestyle and behaviour modification.

Practice Nurses

Our practice nurses work closely with the doctors to provide additional in-house services to our patients, including wound management/dressing, blood collection, injections, infusions, immunisations, health checks, care plans, and procedures such as ECG, Spirometry, Ear Syringing and Venesections.

Medicinal Cannabis
Infusion Clinic

Medicinal Cannabis

If you are suffering from a chronic condition and seeking alternative methods to relieve pain and symptoms this may be suitable for you. Some conditions may include: chronic pain, cancer pain, depression, anxiety, PTSD, chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting, ADHD.

Infusion Clinic

Riverview Medical Practice offers a range of IV therapies which may be helpful for people wanting to improve their overall health and wellness, or are experiencing the effects of nutritional deficiencies, disease and viral illnesses.

Iron Infusions

An iron infusion is an effective treatment for iron deficiency. Low iron levels cause tiredness and affect your ability to function. As the iron stores become depleted, the haemoglobin level drops, and this is called iron deficiency anaemia. The purpose of an iron infusion is to improve the iron deficit by directly replenishing the body’s iron stores.

Venesection

A venesection is the removal of blood to reduce the number of red blood cells circulating in the body and/or the removal of excess iron from your body, depending on your medical condition. During a venesection, approximately 450ml of blood is removed in the same manner a blood donation is collected.

Ear Syringing

Also known as ear irrigation, ear syringing is a routine procedure to remove excess ear wax or foreign objects from the ear. This painless technique is often used to remove wet or very soft wax that has collected on the eardrum, causing discomfort and hearing loss.

Cryotherapy

Cryotherapy is the use of extreme cold, usually liquid nitrogen, to freeze and remove abnormal tissue. Doctors use it to treat many skin conditions (including warts and skin tags), precancerous cells, and some cancers.

Chronic Disease Management

If you have a chronic condition such as diabetes, hypertension, osteoporosis, arthritis, stroke, cancer or chronic pain, our Doctors can ceate a GP Management Plan - a comprehensive, long-term care plan - made just for you - to manage and coordinate the ongoing care you receive from all your healthcare providers.

Health Checks

Most of us get our car serviced and checked regularly – shouldn’t you do the same for your health? We like to take a proactive approach to keeping you healthy, rather than taking a reactive approach as issues arise. Talk to your doctor about a check-up relevant to your current stage in life.

Immunisation & Vaccinations

Vaccination is a cornerstone of preventative health. We provide all government schedule vaccines to childhood, adults and the elderly. We can also advise and offer protection against others such as Covid-19, meningococcal, the flu, shingles & travel vaccinations.
